About this policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Atcomm Enterprises Pty Ltd (ABN 71 121 943 511) (“Atcomm”, “we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information.
Atcomm is bound by the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This policy applies to personal information collected through this website (atcomm.com.au) and through Atcomm’s ordinary business activities.
By using this website or engaging Atcomm for services, you accept the practices described in this policy.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Your name, email address, phone number, and business name when you submit a contact form, email us, or otherwise get in touch
- Any additional information you choose to include in a message or enquiry
- Information provided during the course of a client engagement (billing details, technical access credentials, business information necessary to deliver services)
Information collected automatically
- Basic technical information about your visit to the website: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and time of visit
- We do not use behavioural advertising cookies or cross-site tracking
- The website uses only essential cookies required for functionality (e.g. spam protection on the contact form)
Information from third parties
Atcomm generally does not collect personal information from third parties. In specific client engagements (e.g. technology assessments, vendor transitions) we may receive information from a previous provider or a partner with your express instruction.
Why we collect it
Atcomm collects personal information to:
- Respond to your enquiries
- Provide services you have engaged Atcomm to deliver
- Communicate with you about ongoing services
- Invoice for services delivered
- Comply with legal and regulatory obligations
- Maintain internal records
We do not collect personal information for profiling, resale, or unrelated marketing.
How we use and disclose it
Atcomm uses the personal information you provide to deliver services to you and to communicate with you. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties except:
- Where necessary to deliver the services you have engaged us for (e.g. implementing technology on your behalf with named platforms such as Microsoft, Google, or other vendors)
- Where you have given us consent
- Where required or authorised by law
- To professional advisors, where necessary for the operation of Atcomm’s business, under appropriate confidentiality obligations
Service delivery necessarily involves the platforms we manage on your behalf. For example, delivering managed IT services requires configuring Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace with information you provide. This is disclosure to platforms at your direction.
Storage and security
Atcomm takes reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. These steps include:
- Access controls on systems holding personal information
- Encryption in transit and at rest where applicable
- Restricted access to personal information, limited to those who need it to perform their role
- Regular review of security practices
- Use of reputable third-party service providers with their own security obligations
Personal information may be stored on infrastructure located in Australia or overseas (principally within Microsoft, Google, or other enterprise cloud platforms under their standard contractual protections). Where information is stored overseas, Atcomm takes reasonable steps to ensure handling consistent with the APPs.
Retention
Atcomm retains personal information only for as long as necessary to deliver services, meet legal and regulatory obligations, and handle any disputes. Where information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
Contact form submissions that do not result in an engagement are typically retained for a limited period to handle ongoing correspondence and then removed.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act and the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct personal information that is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, or misleading
- Complain about how Atcomm has handled your personal information
To exercise any of these rights, contact Atcomm at info@atcomm.com.au. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe, generally within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response to a complaint, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
Direct marketing
Atcomm does not engage in unsolicited direct marketing. We will only send marketing communications where you have given consent, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Cookies and analytics
This website uses minimal cookies. Essential cookies support functionality such as spam protection on forms. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.
If analytics are added in future, they will be privacy-respecting by default (no cross-site tracking, no personal identifiers), and this policy will be updated to describe them.
